I have been working with a lot of stubborn leaders in the past, and to build new ways of thinking, we usually had to change a course to really see you have a lot more leadership styles in your portfolio that you can apply in different situation. Absolutely. Something that has helped me with clients is dropping the use of the word 'versus'. It implies one is better than the other, or it's a competition as to which is better (like in sport). This isn't the case - the leadership superpower is knowing what style/s to use for different situations.

I wouldn't use versus in coaching session really as you need to keep it fluid for sure :).
